The Golden Lady Behind the Words…
My name is Amanda M. Scisney (Golden is my maiden name). I have taken several courses throughout my educational career that have prepared me for writing proposals, creating graphics and editing documents of any kinds.
From an early age, I have always enjoyed baking, writing, and editing.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbus State University in English Literature with a concentration in Professional Writing, she later obtained a Masters of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University, and was honored as the Advanced Achiever Award Recipient, earned the Course Director Award for Writing in Interactive Media, and recognized as Valedictorian.
Previously, I worked as Professional Assistant II with the great responsibility of writing, editing and publishing the weekly school newsletter: The Stonewall Telegraph. This is where “The Golden Rule” encouragement column originated. The school and community in which I worked needed a positive outlook; something to look forward to weekly. I could not exactly profess my religion and push my love for Jesus onto them but I was able to speak an encouraging word as a sort of thought for the week/life lesson so that is exactly what I set out to do.
I have taken and passed two tests to receive a Georgia Insurance License. One of the licenses was for Property and Casualty Insurance and a second license for Life, Accident and Sickness Insurance.
While working as a Digital Media Coordinator for an insurance company by day, I become “The Director” by night (and whenever else I’m free). Between caring for my family, I am an artist in my own right. Devoted to cake design, whether researching for my next edible sculpture or developing templates for future orders, I’m always developing my skills.
