The Golden Lady Behind the Words…
My name is Amanda M. Scisney (Golden is my maiden name). I have taken several courses throughout my educational career that have prepared me for writing proposals, creating graphics and editing documents of any kinds. From an early age, I have always enjoyed writing and editing.
As of June 2014 I have obtained a Masters of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. With this degree I was honored as the Advanced Achiever Award Recipient, Course Director Award for Writing in Interactive Media, as well as Valedictorian! I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbus State University in English Literature with a concentration in Professional Writing in 2010.
Previously, I worked as Professional Assistant II with the great responsibility of writing, editing and publishing the weekly school newsletter: The Stonewall Telegraph. This is where “The Golden Rule” encouragement column originated. The school and community in which I worked needed a positive outlook; something to look forward to weekly. I could not exactly profess my religion and push my love for Jesus onto them but I was able to speak an encouraging word as a sort of thought for the week/life lesson so that is exactly what I set out to do.
I have taken and passed two tests to receive a Georgia Insurance License. One of the licenses was for Property and Casualty Insurance and a second license for Life, Accident and Sickness Insurance.
During the day, I work as a Training Coordinator for a Foster Care Agency. But my evenings are still devoted to my love for writing. Whether I am doing layout design practice or researching for my next adventure, my day always includes some form of journalism.
You can find samples of my previously published work under the Published Publications tab. If you have any questions, comments or concerns about articles I post, or maybe even topics you want to discuss, feel free to contact me. I am only a “click” away just message me…
